NAVTEX - 500 kHz & e-navigation past & future
Some thoughts on the future of Navtex et al
Frequency 500 kHz was first allocated to maritime service at the 1906 Berlin Radio Conference.
It was solely used for call and safety until the end of the manual service in the 1990's.
Since this time this frequency was silent for about 20 years now (2010).

and other agencies are about
to plan a new ' Navtex - Service ' & ' e - navigation' on this frequency ?
Is this service necessary and must it be done on
