Prof. Braun Day - History
Former radio officers of the merchant marine meet since 1999 in September in Cuxhaven to
commemorate the first maritime radio contact in Germany. On 24th September 1900 Prof. Braun
stayed at Helgoland, when wireless signals fly the 62 kilometer distance from Cuxhaven.
